As Interim Director of Insights and Influence, Roger helps to develop and oversee the implementation of BFA’s strategic communications. He works to position BFA best in its conversations and engagements with stakeholders and key audiences. Roger believes in co-creating communications strategies that enable organizations to achieve their goals, thrive in complex and competitive environments, and contribute meaningfully to society. He is a seasoned communications professional with substantive experience in journalism, corporate communications, independent consulting, and university-level teaching. Prior to joining BFA, Roger served as a Senior Communications Manager at Mastercard Foundation in Toronto. Before that, he held senior communications positions over a 13-year career at the World Bank. Previously, he had worked for 15 years in Paris as a communications officer with organisations in the public and private sectors, leveraging a broadcast journalism career in Canada and France. He holds a Master of International Policy and Practice from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a BA in Political Economy from the University of Toronto.
