The Financial Lives of Forcibly Displaced People (FDP) in Rwanda

Launch of Research: Refugees and Their Money

Project Period

31st October 2017

AFR, UNHCR and FSD Africa launched their Research on Refugees and Their Money: The Financial Lives of Forcibly Displaced People (FDP) in Rwanda on Tuesday 31st October.

The research which was conducted by BFA assesses both the demand for financial services in refugee populations as well as the business case for Rwandan financial institutions to provide these services. It provides market intelligence to build a sound business case for financial institutions to profitably serve the FDP population; and aims, to better understand the financial needs of the FDP population in Rwanda to enable financial service providers (FSPs) to effectively target the segment.
