Communications Manager

Nasozi Kakembo is the Communications Manager at BFA Global where she oversees the development and implementation of the company-wide communications strategy. Strategic focus areas include the website and digital platforms, knowledge and insights curation, and strategic planning.

She comes to BFA Global with over 10 years of experience in the development sector across philanthropy, social enterprise development, and higher education. Over this period, she has worked in low-income countries and emerging markets, including the Dominican Republic, Ghana, and Uganda. She commenced her social impact-oriented career at the Open Society Foundations, and her work in Uganda stemmed from a social enterprise she founded in New York City which developed Fair Trade products in collaboration with artisans for home decor markets across the globe.

She holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University, in International Planning minor, as well as a Certificate in Business Communication from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. She speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and a little bit of German.
