Olúwátóyìn is the Chief Investment Officer at Catalyst Fund where he is responsible for the investment team and function. He brings over 17 years of experience working across the financing value chain. His primary focus is to bring the best out of purpose-driven entrepreneurs and enable them to build thriving businesses that deliver superior financial returns while positively transforming their customers, communities and environments.

Toyin has worked with leading organizations across Africa. Most recently, he was with Novastar Ventures, one of the continent’s most experienced VC fund managers. Prior to that, he led investments in West Africa for at Acumen, before which played a key role in building the team and platform at Sahel Capital. He started his career at Afrinvest, where he worked in the investment banking team across different products and sectors. Toyin has supported and led transactions worth over $3B and deployed more than $13M in early-stage and growth equity investments.

His expertise includes fundraising, investment appraisal, commercial growth, organizational growth, strategic planning, board management, ESG and Impact. He is also passionate about helping people navigate career growth and aligning work with talent and purpose to drive excellence.

Toyin obtained his Bachelors degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK.
