Beatriz Marulanda

Beatriz is a skilled consultant based in Colombia who has advised many government programs, financial institutions, and multilateral bodies, including the World Bank and CGAP, on issues of financial inclusion. She has served as a close advisor to Banca de las Oportunidades, and has been intimately involved in the roll-out of inclusive social transfers, the promotion of mobile financial services, and the design of new e-money legislation. In the last few years, she has done intensive research in the functioning and alternative regulatory options for the development of competitive retail payment systems to support digitization efforts in Latin America.
