BFA Global was commissioned to study market readiness for Digital Finance Plus (DF+) in Uganda, based on a framework developed by CGAP and McKinsey. The aim of the study was to provide information on the market conditions and opportunities for DF+ in Uganda in education, health, energy, agriculture, water and sanitation, and youth employment. It is envisioned that this information would help potential providers identify opportunities, leading to greater investment and development of DF+ services. To conduct the assessment, we took a three-pronged approach, combining 1) a desk review of the existing literature, 3) secondary analysis of existing data sources, and 3) stakeholder mapping and validation.
