ClimaFii Alliance announces cohort developing emission-reducing technologies for microentrepreneurs in Africa

The ClimaFii Alliance is proud to announce its inaugural cohort of 10 startups developing emission-reducing technologies tailored to the needs of microentrepreneurs across Africa. These ventures are delivering clean, affordable solutions from electric mobility and solar-powered logistics to clean cooking and productive-use financing, all designed to strengthen climate resilience and improve livelihoods in last-mile markets. With support from UK charity Shell Foundation and global nonprofit Accion, the ClimaFii Alliance bridges the gap between energy access and financial inclusion for microenterprises across India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Over the next six months, cohort companies will receive bespoke venture-building support, catalytic capital, and financial product design assistance to make climate technologies more accessible and affordable for microentrepreneurs.
