Over the years, he has contributed significantly to applied research in solar energy utilization, hybrid systems, and energy-efficient machinery, ensuring that technical innovations are tailored to the unique conditions of developing regions such as Sub-Saharan Africa.
As the Technical Team Lead of AgroNova Dryers, Dr. Ononogbo brings his deep expertise in thermal energy systems and hybrid renewable integration to the forefront of the solution. He has led the design of the dryer’s solar collector, programmable PTC heater, and thermal storage system, ensuring optimized airflow, temperature regulation, and energy efficiency for consistent drying performance. His background in energy conversion and process optimization makes him uniquely positioned to address one of Africa’s most pressing agricultural challenges: reducing post-harvest losses while minimizing reliance on fossil fuels. By merging solar thermal, photovoltaic, and smart control technologies, his leadership has transformed AgroNova into a robust, context-ready innovation that meets farmers’ needs.

Through this innovation, he provides affordable, sustainable solutions that help smallholder farmers, open-market vendors, and small businesses reduce food waste, cut carbon emissions, and preserve perishable goods in off-grid communities.

Under his leadership, Solaristique has achieved remarkable impact, reducing over 10,000 tonnes of food waste, offsetting thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions, and creating meaningful green jobs for young people. The company’s approach combines recycling, renewable energy, and circular economy principles to address food security and climate challenges simultaneously.

A graduate of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he emerged as the Best Graduating Student of his department, Nnaedozie has earned several notable recognitions for his work. He was named a NASDAQ Milestone Maker in 2024, and in 2023, Solaristique was selected among the Top 15 Energy Transition Startups globally by the World Energy Council and the German Energy Agency (dena).
