Brenda Kibiku

"We owe it to humanity to do something about climate change."

Brenda is an entrepreneurship, innovation and small businesses champion who began her career supporting small businesses to upskill, upscale, access finance and new markets. She has supported the acceleration of over 500 small manufacturing businesses across the continent and has worked with other business membership organizations to promote regional entrepreneurship and champion collaboration and participation of all partners in support of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). She believes in building ecosystems and communities that create synergies needed to drive innovation and economic development that are grass root led. Brenda currently works with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) on the GoBlue project, in collaboration with the European Union, Italy, Portugal, France and the UN to advance the Blue Economy Initiative to strengthen inclusive and sustainable blue economy value chains.
