Daniella Boston

Head of Partnerships

As Head of Partnerships at BFA Global, Daniella devises strategy and business development for the organization. Her main focus is on youth employment and livelihoods, with a dedication to creating programs for transformative economic growth in emerging markets. She works across various disciplines, collecting and connecting ideas and expertise across and for BFA's assets and people.

Daniella has over 20 years of international development experience working on everything from governance and democratic transitional reform to grassroots youth empowerment and, more recently, spearheading financial engineering and investment mechanisms for high-growth SMEs.

She also has been a practitioner. As the founder and CEO of a social enterprise focused on youth leadership and entrepreneurship, which she ran for a decade, she also knows the trials and tribulations of entrepreneurship first-hand.

Her experiences as a hands-on practitioner carry on into the rest of her work. She brings empathy and insight into the practical realities of various business environments. She has consulted for multinationals in water and energy infrastructure and a Y-Combinator-backed weather insure-tech providing weather insurance for smallholder farmers.

She is an investor and evangelist for a range of high-impact startups, including as an LP in Five35 Ventures, a female-focused fund for early-stage African technology startups.

Daniella has a joint honors degree from Havard University in Social Studies.
