Mohammed Valiullah Hashmi
Vali is a Lead Designer at BFA Global, deeply interested in the power of images to communicate issues of social importance. Over the past six-plus years, he has worked on several projects in the domains of gender, agriculture, climate change, waste management, peacebuilding, livelihoods, and education. Some of his major skill sets include art direction, exhibition design, branding & identity, editorial design, print design, digital product design, storyboarding, prototyping, and infographics/data visualization.
Prior to joining BFA Global, he worked as a design lead with Climes.io, a climate finance startup, leveraging technology to enable the transparent flow of capital from consumers and enterprises to climate solutions in India. He also worked with Dalberg Design as a Visual Communication Designer, contributing to design strategy, rapid prototyping, and user research for key projects, such as dispelling myths around Covid-19 vaccination in the Mon district of Nagaland, India. Before that, he worked with Mindtree Ltd. as a designer for their social impact division, Mindtree.Org, and their internal digital product design team, Digital Inside.
Vali holds a Bachelor's in Biotechnology and an M.A. in Critical and Visual Design from Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology. He has also completed a Climate Designers program with Terra.Do to further his interest in working in the climate sector.
