Kenneth Ngetha Mwangi

Ken is a Product Manager at Catalyst Fund. He got a computer in 1999 and fell in love with software products. He holds a Bachelor of Business Information Technology from Strathmore University in Nairobi where he graduated with first-class honors. He spent the next seven years building software products for African consumers at the leading banking and telecommunication companies. The products he contributed to are enjoyed daily by over 150M daily active users across the continent through companies such as MTN Group, Airtel Group, and Equity Bank Group.

His most significant achievement as a product manager is co-founding a high-growth fintech startup, Saida, the first African startup to be accepted to the prestigious Y-Combinator program in Silicon Valley. At Saida, Ken led the product portfolio from a single prototype to 8 mature products, each with thousands of monthly active users. Ken blends his innate curiosity and rigorous, structured thinking to discover user needs and guide product development to bring satisfaction and delight to users.
