Mbalenhle is Gender Equity Deputy Director at Digital Frontiers. Mbalenhle is an African feminist activist, writer, and researcher who graduated from the University of Oxford and the University of Cape Town. Previously, she was the Lead Consultant on Gender Equality for the AU Research Working Group on Gender Equality at Goldsmiths, University of London, and partnered with the Heinrich Boll Foundation Nairobi and Africanfeminism.com as a Co-Editor of “Challenging Patriarchy: The Role of Patriarchy in the Roll-back of Democracy in the East and Horn of Africa” with Akina Mama, author of Afrika’s Leaders Journal.
