Shannie is the Partnerships and Investments Manager at BFA Global, where she develops investment opportunities key to spurring East African economic development. She specifically focuses on cultivating small and medium enterprise pipeline opportunities for East African financiers and partners.
In her previous role, Shannie worked at the Rwanda Development Board to create matchmaking strategies between international investors and startup pipelines and supported investment activities with a venture capital firm in South Africa. Prior to this, she led projects at McKinsey & Company, working with multilateral organizations, foundations, local governments, and private companies across public health, education, financial services, and infrastructure.
Shannie holds a Master’s in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, as well as a BA in Economics and Political Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Columbia University.
