Sydney is a Senior Venture Builder at Catalyst Fund, where he designs and delivers founder-first acceleration programs for early-stage climate tech startups across Africa. His work spans go-to-market strategy, capital raising, operational scaling, and strategic partnerships, while also supporting due diligence and investor engagement. He leads key ecosystem initiatives, including founder retreats, investor forums, and catalytic events.
Prior to this, Sydney led commercial expansion at pan-African logistics scale-up Sendy, launching business units across four markets. He previously co-founded a SaaS venture in London that grew to 20,000+ users and held strategy roles at global agencies Sid Lee and FCB, advising brands such as BMW, Samsung, NIVEA, and Ubisoft. He began his career at Airbus Americas in Washington, D.C., supporting executive communications and stakeholder strategy.
Sydney’s areas of expertise include venture building, GTM execution, early-stage investing, program design, and multi-market operations across climate tech, logistics, agtech, and fintech. He studied International Relations at Tufts University with a specialization in international security and a minor in entrepreneurial leadership. He is fluent in English and French, and conversational in Spanish.
