Eliza is a Venture Building Consultant at BFA Global, bringing over two decades of experience building and scaling social enterprises across Africa. She combines entrepreneurial expertise with executive coaching to support founders, teams, and early-stage ventures as they navigate growth and scale. As a Certified LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator, she uses practical and creative approaches to help leaders strengthen innovation, align teams, and solve complex challenges.
Throughout her career, Eliza has worked across nonprofits, social enterprises, and development organizations, with a focus on entrepreneurship, community development, and clean energy in Sub-Saharan Africa. She spent more than 15 years in Kenya as part of the founding team of one of Africa's first off-grid small-scale solar companies, where she held executive roles in operations, global sales, and business development. She later advised and helped build a fintech startup developing PAYGO technology for the off-grid sector before providing advisory services to off-grid energy companies across Africa. Eliza is also the founder and Chief Connector of Future at Play, a coaching and LEGO® Serious Play® facilitation company supporting Africa's leaders and emerging social enterprises.
Her areas of expertise include venture building and startup strategy, entrepreneurship development and coaching, off-grid energy and PAYGO business models, executive and leadership coaching, LEGO® Serious Play® facilitation, and climate action and resilience for emerging-market enterprises. Eliza holds a Bachelor of Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Mount Royal University and a Master of International Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University. She is also a Certified Executive Coach, Certified LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator, and Certified Climate Change Coach.
