Phoebe is the Gender Project Lead at BFA Global, where she oversees projects promoting the empowerment of women and implements initiatives and strategies that address gender disparities and foster inclusive economies. She also brings with her extensive experience in technology, strategy, program, and people management.
Phoebe previously led initiatives aimed at reducing the gender gaps in digital and financial services across sub-Saharan Africa Africa at the GSMA as a Senior Engagement Manager. Collaborating with Mobile Operators, Governments, Ecosystem players and Startups to create solutions that bridge digital divides while ensuring sustainability. She worked with Executive teams to refine their organizational strategies in order to reach the underserved and managed the resulting projects or initiatives. Before GSMA, she worked in engineering roles at Huawei Technologies and Liquid Telecom, deepening her technology sector knowledge.
Phoebe holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Nottingham and a Masters in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge. She also completed an online MBA from the Smartly Institute to better understand Business Principles and is dedicated to promoting inclusion and empowerment through technology.
