RegTech Reporting System in Rwanda

During this RegTech for Regulators (or SupTech) webinar, we had presenters from the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) sharing their experience in implementing the Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW) system. The EDW automates and streamlines the reporting process that informs and facilitate supervision.

The webinar took place on Friday, Feb 16, at 10 AM EST.

Mr. Wilson Kamali, the Director of Statistics at the BNR, and Mr. Haider Karim, EDW Project Manager from Sunoida, discussed:

• The pain points BNR has addressed with the EDW system and how these pain points were identified and defined;
•  Vendor selection process to determine a solution provider to build the system;
• Implementation challenges experienced and how BNR and Sunoida overcame them; and
• Early observations on the impact of EWD system to BNR etc.
