Jazza Center
Founded in 2013, Jazza Center specializes in training and placing domestic workers, specifically targeting low-income women. By equipping them with marketable skills for roles like housekeepers, nannies, and caregivers, Jazza Center provides employment opportunities. It helps these women secure better-paying jobs with improved working conditions, significantly enhancing their livelihoods and prospects.
During its nano stage, Jazza Center partnered with external TVET institutions to streamline its training-to-placement pipeline, improving efficiency that helped to reduce running costs and increase placements. The collaboration with institutions like RAK and Kiambu Institute of Hotel and Catering allowed Jazza to outsource a portion of the training, which led to a significant increase in monthly placements and a reduction in placement turnaround time. This model not only accelerated placements but also boosted the average income of placed workers, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new approach.
