From Watamu to the World: Highlights from the Africa Blue Wave & Regen Wave Huddle

In February 2024, we welcomed 44 fellows representing 12 African countries with a wide cross-section of science, business, and technology expertise to the Africa Blue Wave & Regen Wave. The Wave kicked off with a huddle (an in-person gathering) in the coastal town of Watamu, Kenya. The huddle provided an opportunity for the fellows to be fully immersed in the core concepts of the Wave, learn about various initiatives in the blue, ocean, and green economies, and form venture teams to address some of the most pressing challenges in these areas. We share highlights of these experiences in a visual format.
