Marco Antonio Del Rio

Program Director, Strive Mexico and Senior Consultant, Financial Services

Marco is a Senior Consultant at BFA Global. He has a BA in Economics and a Master’s degree in Administration and Public Policies. He has more than 15 years of experience in issues related to financial inclusion, development banking, rural financing, and social development.

He worked as managing director in the financial inclusion department at the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), for seven years. His work was focused on the design, and analysis of the National Survey of Financial Inclusion. He was also the leading author of various publications, such as the Annual Financial Inclusion Overview, the quarterly financial inclusion reports, the innovation cases, and the financial inclusion newsletter.

Prior to joining the CNBV, he worked for more than four years in the largest rural development bank in Mexico. He began his career in the ministry of social development, where he served as director and deputy director of social development strategies.
