Benjamin Mazzotta

Senior Social Science Researcher

Benjamin is a Senior Social Science Researcher at BFA Global. He has expertise in social impact metrics, international development, and business strategy. He has conducted impact evaluations of programs for food security, interfaith peacebuilding, export promotion, and financial inclusion, primarily in Africa.

As an entrepreneur, Benjamin has worked with three early-stage startups. He founded Beta4Dev; co-founded the digital media brand Positivio; and directed research for ImpactMatters. Trained as a political scientist, he also holds certificates in data science and complex systems. Ben earned his PhD and MALD from Tufts, and a BA from Yale. He also is a CEME Senior Fellow at Tufts University and a Fellow of the United States-Japan Leadership Program (USJLP).
