Jane del Ser

Principal Consultant for MSEs, Livelihoods, and Climate Action

Jane is a Principal Consultant at BFA Global, and Program Director for Strive Mexico. Her areas of expertise focus on technology and business for social innovation. She leads the livelihoods portfolio at BFA Global, and is interested in the role of platforms to expand access to finance and opportunities for micro and small enterprises to grow. She brings over 10 years of global experience working with startups, social enterprises and nonprofits leading strategy, product development, and program implementation in hi-tech, mobile, and social innovation in the US, Latin America, and Africa. Jane served as insights manager and then as deputy director of the FIBR program, a four-year action research program supported by Mastercard Foundation, to accelerate digitization and usage of digital financial services in the last mile to spur inclusive growth and employment.

Jane acted previously as Managing Director at Center4, a tech initiative of one of the largest health and human services providers in NYC to increase uptake of technology by nonprofits to transform how social services were delivered and to improve outcomes for people served. Jane holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc from McGill University. She currently resides in Madrid, Spain.
